My second pot of irises was outgrowing the pot they call home, so much so that it was bulging on one side. Since the container was still usable (unlike the other, which was disintegrating), I decided to take a shot at dividing instead of dumping the whole thing. Half of it stayed in the pot but shifted closer to the middle, the other half went to another spot in a quiet rural area. Photos added to: https://imgur.com/a/yCP0K

Irises Redux
The irises have been outgrowing the pots I planted them in. Last year I took the pot that was disintegrating from exposure to sun and weather to a rural property and put it in the ground. The pot was so rotted that I tore the plastic apart with my hands and moved the soil and irises together in to the hole. This spring the irises seem to be growing happily.

Playing with AdSense
I want to experiment with Google AdSense. For Blogger it's a pretty easy integration, not surprisingly. So, that means ads will start showing up at some point.

Spring flowers
The first flowers from a couple of irises. Not the best photos I've taken, but flowers mark the start of our too-brief spring.

Using Amazon RDS with Chef Server
Just added some notes on setting up Amazon RDS with Chef Server to my GitHub Pages site. They're pretty thin because it's not very complicated and I assumed a certain minimum knowledge of all the associated technologies.
